Based on speed tests* of working 4G LTE signals and networks across the U.S., we can get a good view of 4G connectivity in areas that haven’t yet been officially announced by carriers.
Last August, we shared An LTE Comparison Infogrpahic, demonstrating the differences in carriers’ overall network coverage quality throughout the United States. At that time, Verizon Wireless seemed to boast the biggest and most extensive coverage between AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon.
As increasing data consumption encourages progress in network technologies, we’ll probably continue to see growth in the scale and quality of nationwide network coverage.
Meanwhile, global LTE coverage analysis from early 2014 shows that, in the grand scheme of things, U.S. carriers still have a long way to go – particularly when it comes to network speeds. Especially as the smart device industry continues to grow worldwide, better overall network quality will be essential for consumers.
